Flower of the Hour

By:  Sis. Carolyn Butler

Even though your seed has not always had salvation as the fertilizer,

Your holiness bud sprung forth at a young age.

As your roots in Jesus Christ gained strength,

You became the stem from which all of us as leafs in Christ began to grow.

As you continue to blossom into a pure Saint of God;

All mankind smells your fragrance of love.

We are aware that no single flower can make a bouquet

But we do acknowledge you as the

FLOWER OF THE HOUR!

PASTOR, DR. ELLA M. DAVIS

This revival created a chance for a soul to be saved, this has been the Pastor's mission for the last 50 years, through her mission she has touch many in so many ways.

Pastor and Deacon Davis

This week was filled with the word of God! There was a host of speakers that plant words of eternal life. We baptized seven souls and God poured out His Spirit like the day of Pentecost. Bishop Edward McGee out of Champiane Il. preached Thursday and Friday, he spoke words of prophesy and touch the live of many. Those people that know Pastor and Deacon Davis, they could not have been happier to see souls being saved and people being baptized in Jesus Name.

"Eternal Deposits"

According to the word of God; "Only what you do for Christ will last". We have to keep this in mind as we walk with Lord, when we witness to people about the Lord or preach the word of God these are word that have "Eternal Life" and according to word of God his word will not pass away, in other words they last forever. So when we share the word of God with others we are making an "Eternal Deposit" into their soul.

Pastor and Deacon Davis, we all thank you for the "Eternal Deposits" you have made over the years!

Pastor Dr Ella M. Gordon-Davis, Honored

On July 20th 2008 Pator Davis was honored by the city of Kankakee, Il. They named a street after her, this is being done for her priceless contribution to the community, that she has rendered through her ministry over the past 50 years or more. This was the last of the many accomplishments of Pastor Davis. President Kennedy once made a speech, and one point in the speech he said "ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country", Pastor Davis spent over half of her life doing for others. And because of that Pastor Davis has left a enternal legacy, we as the people of God should ask not what the church can do for you, but what can you do for the kingdom of God. Let us learn from Pastor Davis, let's spend our time wisely and work for the Kingdom. ________________________________________________
